Zircocem-5

ZircocemZircocem 5 is a zircon based refractory cement which can be used on components and in areas where it is essential to have strong electrical resistance and thermal shock resistance. It can sustain high temperatures up to 1450oC, is non-corrosive, and cures at ambient temperatures by internal chemical setting. It may be applied to most surfaces, making it ideal for applications such as the fixing or assembling of high intensity halogen incandescent light bulbs.

Zircocem-5F

Zircocem 5F is an inorganic, non-corrosive ceramic adhesive cement, which cures by chemical setting. The cement has excellent electrical insulation and thermal conductivity once applied, so is ideal for any components or areas where these qualities are essential. As a refractory cement, Zircocem 5F can be applied to a wide range of surfaces, and can withstand temperatures of up to 1450oC, it is ideal for uses like potting applications such as high temperature air filter assemblies

Advantages

  • Cures at room temperatures
  • Adheres to most surfaces (Glass, ceramic, metal)
  • Excellent thermal conductivity
  • Refractory cement for use at high temperatures

main applications for zircocem-5

  • Fixing and assembling high intensity halogen incandescent light bulbs
  • Embedding electrical heating elements
  • Insulation coating for wire wound resistors and coils
  • Mechanical sealing of any parts where it essential to have high electrical and thermal shock resistance

preparation

Mix with water in ratio 4 parts powder to 1 part water by weight and apply by spray, trowel or brush (depending upon application and consistency). Leave to air dry at room temperature for 24 hours.
